Description
The Original Pebble Beach Lodge was a rustic logcabin-style one-story inn and was completed in 1909. Overlooking Stillwater Cove, Carmel Bay. The lodge was a half-way stop on the 17 Mile Drive starting at the Hotel Del Monte in Monterey going through Pebble Beach and back to the Hotel.
Architect Lewis P. Hobart designed the lodge in 1908 for Pacific Improvement Company (PIC) property-holding interests of the Big Four in California.
The lodge burned down on December 17, 1917.
