American politician and US Vice President (and future President) Richard Nixon (1913 - 1994) and his wife, Pat (1912 - 1993), make an early morning appearance at campaign workers at Republican Party headquarters in the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles, California, November 1960. Nixon was to concede the Presidential election to opponent John F Kennedy, though nine years laters he became the 37th US President.
