This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

This lonely wind-swept tree was shot in Canyonlands State Park in southern Utah in the early summer of 1990. I wanted to create something reminiscent of the mid-1800s daguerreotype photographs, like the ones Roger Fenton shot during the Crimean war.

Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. Much of what I shoot is done spontaneously without preconceived thought or plan. I let what is around me dictate what is photographed. And the shooting is only the first step - a jumping off point. I take the raw images and create what I see in my mind's eye. Coaxing out textures present in the shot - sometimes adding them.
